Lack of engagement and motivation hinders the achievement of learning goals. To overcome this, the singing method was introduced as an innovative approach to create a more fun and interactive atmosphere. This study aims to explore the application of singing methods in PAI lessons to increase students' interest in SB At-Tanzil Kayu Ara in Malaysia. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews and documentation. The data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, presentation, and conclusions. Managers, teachers, and students are the main informants. The results of the research on the application of the singing method can increase students' interest. By implementing Islamic songs related to the lesson content creates a fun atmosphere, making it easier for students to understand and memorize the material while increasing their engagement. This method also increases students' confidence during learning. Thus, the singing method can be an effective alternative strategy to increase students' interest, especially in PAI lessons, and should be applied more widely in various educational settings.
Nadia Amrul Ummah, Anip Dwi Saputro, Nurul Abidin Copyright (c) 2025 Nadia Amrul Ummah, Anip Dwi Saputro, Nurul Abidin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journalfai.unisla.ac.id/index.php/at-thulab/article/view/2352 Thu, 15 May 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Developing a Digital Book of Proficiency in Writing Scientific Articles with Artificial Intelligence to Improve Elementary Education Students' Scientific Writing Skills https://journalfai.unisla.ac.id/index.php/at-thulab/article/view/2405
The connectivistic learning theory emphasizes the pivotal role of technology in enhancing students' access to resources and skills, particularly in scientific writing. This study employs the ADDIE model to develop a digital book designed to improve the scientific writing competencies of elementary education students. A needs analysis indicated that students have a limited understanding of research methodologies and academic writing, with an average proficiency rate of only 45%. They expressed moderate difficulty in writing scientific articles and requested the development of a user-friendly and visually engaging digital book. In response to these findings, we produced an innovative digital book in HTML5 and PDF formats, featuring clearly defined learning objectives, AI-integrated materials, concise summaries, project assignments, and interactive quizzes. The content encompasses guidance on writing articles, examples of scientific article structures, and techniques for utilizing AI in writing. Validation by five experts yielded a score of 4.35 out of 5, affirming the material's strong content and presentation quality. A pilot study conducted with 26 students demonstrated a high usability score of 4.60, indicating that the digital book effectively enhances students' comprehension and motivation in scientific writing. There are many cases such as brawls, acts of violence, and truancy at school; for this reason, character formation in children is very important to be implemented from an early age. The study aims to analyze the strategy of instilling character values through extracurricular pencak silat at MIN 2 Serang, an Islamic elementary school in Serang, Banten. MIN 2 Serang was chosen as the location of the study because it has shown a positive impact on the formation of student character through pencak silat activities, which are part of the local culture of Banten. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study method, and this study found that instilling character values is carried out through three stages: moral knowing, feeling, and doing. The results of the study indicate that the Character Value Instillation Strategy instilled by the trainer, namely using the Moral Knowing Strategy, fosters discipline, Moral Feeling instills empathy, and Moral Doing instills the value of responsibility, but from this instillation, there are supporting factors, including adequate facilities. At the same time, challenges such as the distance of students' homes become obstacles to character formation. This study contributes to developing a character education model rooted in local culture.
Ririn Anggita Citra, Khaeroni Khaeroni, Oman Farhurohman Copyright (c) 2025 Ririn Anggita Citra, Khaeroni Khaeroni, Oman Farhurohman https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journalfai.unisla.ac.id/index.php/at-thulab/article/view/2375 Wed, 21 May 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Development of a Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning Model Based on the Merdekan Curriculum at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah https://journalfai.unisla.ac.id/index.php/at-thulab/article/view/2331
Learning models play a vital role in maximizing educational outcomes. Therefore, it is essential for teachers to thoughtfully select and implement instructional models that align with effective teaching practices. However, the success of any model also relies heavily on the presence of a solid support system, such as well-prepared teaching materials and student books, which help make learning more meaningful and engaging. The development of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) model stems from the necessity to create educational experiences that are not only academically sound but also culturally appropriate, particularly in diverse classroom settings. By embedding local cultural values into lessons, CRT aims to enhance student engagement, reinforce cultural identity, and promote civic understanding. This study aimed to develop a CRT model for use in Pancasila Education that is valid, practical, and effective in improving the learning outcomes of elementary school students in Padangsidimpuan City. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach, using the ADDIE model which includes five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
