Peer Review Proccess
Peer Review ProccessAll manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Childhood Education (JCE) undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of the published articles. The review process is conducted through the following stages:
- Initial Editorial Screening
Upon submission, the manuscript is first evaluated by the editorial team to ensure its alignment with the journal’s focus and scope, compliance with author guidelines, and adherence to basic academic standards, including originality and relevance. - Plagiarism Check
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software to ensure the originality of the work. Manuscripts with a high level of similarity will be rejected or returned to the authors for revision. - Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers using a double-blind review system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the relevant field of early childhood education. - Review Criteria
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on several criteria, including:- Originality and contribution to the field
- Clarity of research objectives and questions
- Appropriateness of methodology
- Depth of analysis and discussion
- Relevance of references and theoretical framework
- Clarity, coherence, and academic writing quality
- Review Decision
Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial board makes one of the following decisions:- Accepted without revision
- Accepted with minor revisions
- Accepted with major revisions
- Rejected
- Revision Stage
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewers’ comments and submit a revised version along with a detailed response to the reviewers. - Final Decision and Publication
The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers’ evaluations and the quality of the revised manuscript. Accepted manuscripts will proceed to copyediting, proofreading, and publication. - Publication Ethics
The journal is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and follows best practices in scholarly publishing, ensuring transparency, fairness, and confidentiality throughout the review process.
