This study aims to determine and analyse the extent to which the use of Wordwall in mathematics teaching can improve pupils’ ability to understand basic numeracy. This study employs a quantitative method using a survey approach. Data collection was carried out by administering tests to the pupils, consisting of a pre-test and a post-test, each comprising 15 questions related to basic numeracy. The research subjects comprised 12 Year 4 pupils at SD Inpres Mahambala, selected using purposive sampling. The data obtained were analysed using IBM SPSS software through validity tests, descriptive statistical analysis, and a paired sample t-test to determine the effectiveness of using the Wordwall medium in improving pupils’ numerical abilities. The results of the study showed a calculated t-value of -8.135 with degrees of freedom (df) = 11 and a significance level (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 (< 0.05). These results indicate that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores, thus proving that the use of the Wordwall medium is effective in improving pupils’ ability to understand basic numeracy. The implications of this study suggest that the Wordwall medium can serve as an innovative and interactive alternative learning medium in mathematics education to enhance pupils’ understanding of basic numeracy.
